ICEsoft

ICEsoft is a Canadian software company based in Calgary. Its most famous product is ICEfaces, an Ajax framework based on Java Server Faces (JSF), which is also available as open source software. ICEfaces' ready-made and flexible tools enable user-friendly, fast and dynamic websites to be built. ICEfaces is a component of the mimacom application stack.

ICEsoft and mimacom formed a strategic partnership in June 2008. Employees have committer status in ICEfaces, and mimacom is a distributor for ICEsoft in Europe.

Liferay is an American software company based in Los Angeles (CA). Its portal solution has become the most widely distributed open source portal. In 2008, Gartner explicitly recommended it as a viable alternative to proprietary portals ("Completeness of Vision", "Business Foresight").

As Liferay's Platinum partner for technology and services, mimacom maintains close contact with the company. mimacom's employees have committer status in Liferay, and Liferay is a component of mimacom's application stack. Within the framework of edorasware™, important utilities such as PortletFaces are developed for using JSF 2.0 in Liferay.

Alfresco is the leading open source alternative for enterprise content management (ECM). It couples the innovation of open source with the stability of a true enterprise-class platform.

Alfresco is part of the mimacom application stack and is used whenever the needs of an ECM system occur in a project.

The Spring framework represents a significant component of mimacom's application stack. The open source Java EE framework simplifies development, and provides important components and modules for our applications.

It goes without saying that we also maintain a close partnership with SpringSource. A close functional relationship is also important to us in this respect. With several Spring committers, mimacom is one of the few software providers in the world to contribute towards the development of the Spring framework.

XQual

XQual provides XStudio, a free test management application handling the complete life-cycle of testing projects.

XStudio allows scheduling execution of fully automated or manual test campaigns.
It also provides some outstanding tools to measure the coverage of testing (i.e. traceability matrix), all this via a local installation or through your favorite browser. An open-source SDK is also included to develop specific launchers to interface with proprietary tests.

XStudio is integrated in the mimacom path toolchain.

Activiti is an open source business process management (BPM) initiative that was launched by Alfresco. Activiti is based on the same technological approach as the lightweight process virtual machine by edoras. The integration of edoras Workflow into Activiti merges the best approaches of both engines, which will in future be developed further by Activiti and mimacom jointly.

Confluence, Jira, Bamboo: Atlassian offers various products that support mimacom's activities each day. The Australian software company enables us to implement agile methods successfully, even in difficult environments.

Here, mimacom also enjoys "official partner" status, and offers Atlassian's products and services within the framework of mimacom path (mimacom Toolchain).

Atlassian's products also form the basis of the mimacom path toolchain, which supports mimacom path, mimacom's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution.

JetBrains is a Czech software development firm specializing in the creation of intelligent development tools.

Since 2001, the company has been known for its intelligent Java IDE, IntelliJ IDEA, which is part of the mimacom path toolchain.

With this Partnership, mimacom can provide licenses as well as services across Europe around IntelliJ and thus, provide out-of-the-box support for the web, enterprise and mobile frameworks.

Athough not a association, our partnership with the Bern University of Applied Science is also a committment for education and research in computer science.

mimacom employs numerous graduates from the Bern University of Applied Sciences. We are pleased to be able to offer this educational institution that is relevant to our profession something in return. Since 2008, mimacom employees have been responsible for the module "Java and Open Source Solutions". Further, we're offering our collaboration for internships and Bachelor thesis.
