Java Technical Support Engineer

Gijón, Valencia (España)


Your Challenge

  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support
  • Evolutive maintenance, product development and new project releases participation
  • Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue; and provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • Mantain outgoing relationships with clients

Your Profile

  • BS degree in IT or relevant technical education level
  • 1+ years experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Java Support Engineer or 2nd level Support Engineer OR 2+ years’ experience as Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician
  • Good programming skills with Java, at least 2 years of experience programming with Java
  • Knowledge of Liferay, Alfresco, Spring, Angular or Flowable is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
