 In this role, you are responsible for new customer acquisition and the strategic expansion of existing client relationships within the insurance and financial services sector in Switzerland. You develop tailored sales and account strategies, systematically build a resilient sales pipeline, and proactively approach both new and existing clients. At the core of the role is advising insurance companies on digital transformation initiatives – ranging from software development to cloud, data & analytics, AI, and technology consulting. You work closely with account, consulting, engineering, and delivery teams as well as management to develop compelling client solutions and successful proposal and tender processes. You identify and realize cross- and upselling potential, positioning us as a strategic partner for digital innovation in the insurance sector. 

What You’ll Do

  • Analysis & Architecture: Conduct requirements analysis and design architectures, including data architectures based on Data Vault, Hub-and-Spoke, Lambda, and Kappa.
  • Streaming & Event-Driven Data: Design, build, and operate real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures on Apache Kafka, including topic design, Kafka Connect, and stream processing.
  • Migration: Take ownership of and oversee the migration of existing data analytics solutions to the cloud.
  • Hands-on Engineering: Responsible for the implementation, optimization, and operation of data platforms.
  • Consulting: Advise our clients on data processing, cloud, and DevOps topics, and conduct PoCs, trainings, and workshops on-site

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Several years of hands-on experience in software development or data engineering
  • Solid knowledge of Python, relational databases, Pandas, Apache Spark, Git, and SQL
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in Apache Kafka: real-time data engineering, building and operating Kafka-based data pipelines and event-driven architectures
  • Understanding of data governance, data catalogs, and data quality
  • Experience with data platforms, data services, and data architectures
  • Experience designing data solutions on Azure, AWS, or other cloud providers (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift, Databricks, as well as Azure DevOps)
