As a Senior Solutions Engineer in our AI Practice, you’ll help shape the next stage of software development in the US market — combining modern engineering with AI-augmented product development, while helping grow Mimacom’s footprint and brand here.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Solutions Engineer in our AI Practice, you’ll deliver digital solutions faster, more effectively, and closer to business value than ever before. You’ll work hands-on inside customer engagements, use modern AI tools end-to-end, take ownership of product outcomes, and represent the AI Practice externally as we grow Mimacom’s presence in the US. Here’s what that looks like:
- End-to-End Product & Software Engineering: From problem definition through architecture, solution design, implementation, and delivery. You work end-to-end and actively use AI to lift speed, quality, and impact.
- AI-Augmented Engineering: You design Human-AI workflows, work with agentic coding tools, craft high-quality prompts, perform context engineering, and own quality assurance end-to-end (code review, testing, hallucination control).
- Product Thinking & Business Value Focus: You understand the customer’s domain, challenge requirements when it matters, prioritize alongside stakeholders, and make decisions that create real value.
- Customer Engagement & Trusted Advisory: You work closely with customer teams, communicate clearly, facilitate technical and domain discussions, and become a trusted advisor for product owners, architects, and subject-matter experts.
- Pre-Sales, Technical Marketing & US Growth: You support our US Leadership with pre-sales activities and customer presentations that win new business, contribute to technical marketing and AI thought leadership, and actively help grow Mimacom’s brand and footprint in the US market.

Must Have
Technical
- Strong working knowledge of modern Java, with good command of Spring and Spring Boot.
- Solid grasp of server-side architecture fundamentals.
- Confident day-to-day use of Git.
Non-Technical
- Effective communication and coordination across product owners, the dev team, and (where needed) DevOps and Mobility functions.
- Ability to analyze and specify software and software components.
- Strong research and writing skills — able to produce technical assessments that non-technical stakeholders can actually act on.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. German is a plus
AI & Solutions Engineering
- Practical experience with generative AI tools (coding assistants, LLM workflows) and expertise in prompting, context engineering, and human-AI interaction.
- Ability to evaluate, correct, and quality-assure AI-generated output.
- Strong customer-facing presence: comfortable in pre-sales settings, leading technical discussions with senior stakeholders, and translating fluently between business and engineering.
Nice to Have
Technical
- Front-end and mobile experience: React, React Native, and/or AngularJS (ideally with migration experience from AngularJS).
- Familiarity with ArchUnit for architecture testing.
- DevOps exposure: Ansible, AWS, Fastlane.
- Cyber security experience, including platforms like Synack.
- Hands-on experience navigating Apple App Store and Google Play Store rejections and their respective appeal processes.
- Database experience: Couchbase (NoSQL) and MySQL (SQL).
Industry & Regulatory
- Experience in med-tech or another regulated industry.
- Working knowledge of Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD) regulatory frameworks — e.g., FDA, EMA, MDCG, CE marking, MDR classification, MDSPR, IMDRF.
- Project leadership or technical lead experience.
